Ignorance is blissA clatter as she falls against the wall. Shes late home again,Ignorance is bliss
He waited for her but she didn't come. Half way up the stairs, A scuffle as she falls, unable to stand on both legs. Drunk again.
She gets to the top and enters his room. He lies still. She talks to him. He doesn't answer. And again. He doesn't answer. A smashed bottle, Shards of glass litter the floor, Cut the skin. He lies still, beaten. Beaten by her.
She leaves. Heaves in the toilet, Collapses and passes out where she was. Incompetent. Sm

On ReflectionOn reflection. A glimpse shows a girl, Pretty, shy. Looks and turns away, Not quite sure what she sees. A face surrounded by brown curly hair, A face surrounded by a frizzy mop. Which one? Good day or bad day. The girl behind the mirror,On Reflection
She doesn't look much like the one others describe. Beautiful, sure of herself. This one is apprehensive, Not bold and not brash. Real or fake? On reflection. Which girl is it I see.

The Looking GlassThe Looking GlassThe Looking Glass
Reflection. A face. A hand reaches out Brushes the smooth glass. It will only ever reach that far. It cannot even touch the surface. The image. The person beyond. A fall. It crashes to the ground Lies in pieces. Sharp, fragmented. Reflection. Only a fraction of its former self. No longer whole. It glistens, glints, Scattered on the floor. A true representation Of what lies beneath. Beneath the surface of the looking glass.

Tranquility interrupted by a jealous mind, life overcome by the grief of the ending, celebratory drinks for a lost occasion, a mind full of black, the tainted, dirty white.
